FireCan Elite Fire Pit
FireCan Elite Fire Pit
The Ignik FireCan Elite is the lightest and highest-output model in the FireCan line. It puts out 55,000 BTU from a propane burner housed in the same ammo-can form factor as the base FireCan and Deluxe — but weighs only 9.2 lb. The Elite is CSA certified and runs from a standard QCC1 connection with a quick-connect outlet for daisy-chaining accessories.
Where the Deluxe adds a stainless grill insert for cooking, the Elite is pure fire pit: optimized for output and weight over kitchen functionality. At 55,000 BTU, it throws more heat than either of the other FireCan models — useful in cold ambient conditions or larger group settings where the 38,000 BTU output of the base FireCan or Deluxe falls short. Dimensions are 12 × 6 × 7.5 in, same footprint as the other FireCan models.
Burn-ban compatible: propane fire pits are approved for use under most open-fire and wood-burning restrictions. No ash, no embers, no spark screen required. Propane tank not included.

What's the difference between the FireCan Elite and the FireCan Deluxe?
Both are $299.95. The Elite outputs 55,000 BTU and weighs 9.2 lb — it's fire pit only, no grill. The Deluxe outputs 38,000 BTU, weighs 13.8 lb, and adds a removable stainless steel grill insert and grease tray. Choose the Elite for maximum heat and lighter weight; choose the Deluxe if you want the same unit to cook on.
What's the difference between the FireCan Elite and the base FireCan?
The base FireCan is $199.95 with 38,000 BTU and powder-coated steel construction. The Elite is $299.95 with 55,000 BTU, CSA certification, and lighter weight (9.2 lb vs 11.2 lb). The Elite is the better choice for cold conditions or larger groups; the base FireCan is the value option for standard camp use.
Does the FireCan Elite work during a fire ban?
In most jurisdictions, yes. Propane fire pits produce no embers or ash and are typically approved under wood-burning bans and open-fire restrictions. The specific rules vary by location — check with the land management agency before assuming clearance, but propane is the standard exception in most fire ban language.
What propane source does it connect to?
The QCC1 inlet connects to a standard 20-lb propane tank via the included hose, or to a 1-lb camping canister with an adapter. The quick-connect outlet lets you run an Ignik Gas Growler or other propane accessory off the same tank at the same time.
Is it CSA certified and what does that mean?
Yes, the FireCan Elite is CSA certified. CSA certification means the unit has been tested and approved by CSA Group (Canadian Standards Association) for safety and performance as a propane appliance. This certification is relevant for campsite compliance, rental properties, and jurisdictions that require third-party-tested propane equipment.
Is the propane tank included?
No. The FireCan Elite includes the unit and hose only. Propane is sold separately — use a standard 1-lb canister or a 20-lb tank with the included quick-connect hose.
