Rhino-Rack Hybrid Roof Bike Carrier (RBC050)

The Rhino-Rack Hybrid (RBC050) is a single-bike roof carrier that holds the bike by the front fork and front wheel instead of clamping the frame. A soft-coated ratchet arm grabs the fork and wheel; front and rear wheel straps, a wheel hook, and a wheel stop pin the rest of the bike down. Nothing touches the down tube or seat tube, so carbon and hydroformed-aluminum frames ride without crush risk. The front wheel stays on, so loading is one lift onto the tray.

It carries one bike up to 21 kg / 45 lb, anything from a 20-inch kids' bike to a 29-inch mountain bike. The cast-aluminum tray and non-corrosive hardware are built for daily highway and rough-road miles, and the carrier folds flat when empty so it can stay mounted full-time without an upright arm catching wind. Three locking systems lock the carrier to the rack, the bike to the carrier, and a cable through the frame; it's MasterKey compatible so it shares a key with the rest of your Rhino-Rack setup.

Universal mounting hardware fits most popular crossbars out of the box. C-channel bars (Vortex, Pioneer, Reconn-Deck) need fit kit RBCA034; Heavy Duty bars need RBCA035; fat tires need the RBCA033 adaptor (all sold separately). Crossbar spacing must fall between 55 cm / 21 in and 101 cm / 39 in.
