The MaxTrax Xtreme is a pair of traction boards built for self-recovery when your rig digs in. Each board carries 88 replaceable, hard-anodized alloy teeth molded into an engineering-grade reinforced nylon plank. The teeth sink into the tire tread and the ground at the same time, so the wheel grips instead of spinning. You get one board for each drive tire, plus a set of leashes to drag them back out from under the rig.
Each board measures about 45 inches long, 13 inches wide, and 3.5 inches tall, and the pair weighs roughly 20 pounds. Six glove-friendly handles run down the sides, and the squared ends double as a scoop for clearing sand or mud ahead of the tire. The alloy teeth are the reason to step up from the molded-stud boards: hard nylon studs can melt under a spinning tire, while the anodized alloy bites harder and shrugs off saltwater and mud corrosion.

When a tooth eventually wears, it backs out with a T-50 Torx bit and a fresh one drops in, so the board keeps working instead of heading to the landfill.
