It opens to 56.63 in — about 28 in of travel — so the lid clears the tailgate or drawer face without you climbing over a wheel well.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe slide locks at three detents: closed, half, and fully out. Closed keeps the fridge pinned for the trail. Half lets you crack the lid on a grade without it rolling back. Full gives you the whole top for restocking.
